Studio Tre was established in 1979 in Reggio Emilia, Italy, with a clear mission: to help people with different languages and cultures communicate effectively.
45 years of high-quality language services
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Maura Bottazzi and two business partners open Studio Tre. They provide translation services in three languages in a 20 sq.m office with three desks, many dictionaries, an Olivetti Lettera 22 typewriter, and four collaborators.
TRANSLATION AND MORE
The conference and event interpreting department is inaugurated. Studio Tre moves to a bigger office. Now, it has a team of 5 members and provides services in 10 languages.
THE FIRST TURNING POINT
Studio Tre shifts from a limited partnership to a limited liability company. Now, the team includes 8 people.
A NEW BUSINESS PARTNER
After joining Studio Tre as a project manager in 2003, Letizia Palladino becomes a partner and member of the board.
CERTIFIED QUALITY
Studio Tre earns the UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 quality management and UNI EN 15038:2006 translation service certifications.
TRUSTWORTHY WORDSMITHS
Letizia Palladino becomes the CEO and rebrands Studio Tre during its 35th anniversary.
NEW MILESTONES
Studio Tre earns the UNI 10574:2007 interpreting service certification and implements the organisational model under Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001. The company also implements a total protection system to ensure data security and confidentiality.
STUDIO TRE LANDS IN MILAN
Studio Tre opens an office in Milan, Italy’s business capital, to better serve clients in Northern Italy.
ANOTHER STEP FORWARD
Studio Tre becomes a joint-stock company. Increasingly focused on technological development, the company starts investing in innovative start-ups.

INCREASINGLY HIGH-TECH
New technological investments in late 2020 and in 2021 lead to the development of ST3, a custom proprietary software that streamlines project management and makes it more sustainable. In addition, a vulnerability assessment system is introduced to raise the IT security level.

Studio Tre becomes a benefit corporation that aims to positively impact the community and environment, giving back more than it takes away.
FROM BENEFIT CORPORATION TO B CORP
Overcoming linguistic, cultural, and financial barriers and operating responsibly and sustainably become integral to Studio Tre’s activity, earning it a B CORP certification. In 2023, Studio Tre obtains a 3-star rating from the Italian Competition Authority for its commitment to working transparently, ethically, and lawfully.
STUDIO TRE LANDS IN ROME, TREVISO, SONDRIO, AND PIACENZA
Studio Tre opens new offices in Rome, Treviso, Piacenza, Torino and Sondrio to better serve its clients in Central and Northern Italy. And this is just the beginning.
