Make way for Italianisms

posted in Uncategorized by

The Italian language continues to be embellished with foreignisms, but also find a few Italianisms used abroad in the fields of, for example, gastronomy (pizza, spaghetti, tagliatelle, panettone, cappuccino, maccheroni…), music (concerto, sinfonia, adagio, allegro, andante, tenore, soprano, violino and above all pianoforte, invented precisely by the Italian Bartolomeo Cristofari), cinema (paparazzo, from “La Dolce Vita”, in which the surname of the character practising this profession is precisely Paparazzo). The exclamation mamma mia is used everywhere…and everyone the world over greets others with ciao!
