All of our translation and interpreting projects are managed in accordance with procedures provided for by the Certifications UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, UNI EN ISO 17100:2017 and UNI 10574:2007 and pursuant to Italian Legislative Decree 231/01, standards which help us to:

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard and forms the basis on which STUDIO TRE has built the system that guarantees its clients’ satisfaction.
Indeed, our quality management system includes internal rules and procedures that determine how each language consultant creates and provides services for clients.

A knowledge of the language is not the only requirement that guarantees the quality of translation services. Indeed, the ISO 17100 standard introduces other factors that language consultancies must take into account:

  • the skill and experience of their human resources: the qualifications of project managers, translators and revisers must be verified on an ongoing basis
  • projects must be managed according to specific procedures, which include two revisions of each translation (these involve the comparison of source text to target text, verification that content and meaning correspond, the consultation of TMs/glossaries/reference sources, spelling and grammar checks); processes to manage complaints and customer satisfaction are also regulated.
  • clients’ information must be kept strictly confidential.

 

This standard specifically establishes the requirements for interpreting services (simultaneous, consecutive, whispered or chuchotage and liaison), in particular regarding training and refresher courses for professional interpreters, clearly setting out the linguistic and technical requirements necessary for this type of role.

We adopted Model 231 for the purpose of guaranteeing that all of STUDIO TRE’s stakeholders (employees, clients, service providers, collaborators) are treated responsibly.

The 231 system lowers the probability of errors being made, through:

  • the identification of at-risk areas
  • the establishment of control principles and procedures
  • the adoption of a Code of Ethics and of a disciplinary system
  • the establishment of a Supervisory Board.
